Are you planning a visit to Hershey, PA soon? There are lots of options when it comes to hotels near Hershey, but the perks of staying at an official Hershey property, like the Hershey Lodge, are huge! From shuttles to discount tickets to activities at the resort, I’ll share our review of our recent visit in partnership with Hershey Entertainment.
Hershey Lodge Resort Review and Tips
As you enter the town of Hershey, you’ll start noticing almost immediately how pretty it is! From the Hershey kiss street lights to the hanging flower baskets, it’s a charming little town with lots of curb appeal.
The Hershey Lodge Resort fits right in with that theme. The grounds are beautiful and you should take some time to just walk around and explore them!
After you check into your room…
We had a room with 2 queen beds which is perfect for our family of 4 (with 2 teens). We had plenty of space to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other.
We’re a huge fan of hotel rooms with microwaves, so one of us pretty much looks for it first thing when we arrive at a new hotel. The Hershey Lodge didn’t disappoint and we were able to refrigerate our leftovers and not have any waste!
The little touches like the Hershey Kisses sheets and soap are the things that really elevate your stay beyond what you would get at a standard hotel.
Hershey Lodge Activities and Amenities
But don’t spend all of your time in your hotel room, because there are plenty of activities for guests at the Hershey Lodge!
Even just hanging out in the lobby can be a blast. You’ll find some of the Hershey characters walking around at various times too! There is plenty of seating, a bar in the back in the lobby and a gorgeous 4-sided fireplace that’s perfect for enjoying a drink from the Cocoa Beanery.
When you check in, you will receive an Activities and Events Sheet that lists everything that will be happening during your visit. Depending on the season, they have everything from S’mores at the Lake to Movies Outside and lots more!
Hershey Lodge Water Works
Of course, regardless of the water or season, you can always enjoy the indoor waterpark, Water Works! This was our first visit since Water Works opened and we ended up spending an entire afternoon there!
There were kids of all ages and plenty for them to keep busy with! My teens enjoyed racing each other on the Twizzlers Twists Water Slides… over and over and over again!
They also LOVED the Reese’s Water Walk. Even my husband and I tried this out once or 6 times. It was harder than it looked!
There was plenty for younger kids too! The Sand Castle had mini slides and interactive toys:
There was a shallow pool with more toys:
And just plenty all around! There is even an outdoor splash pad for the littlest of kids! We had so much fun at the large pool and could have easily spent longer there!
Hershey didn’t forget the adults, though! There is a large hot tub/spa for you to enjoy while your kids have fun at the waterpark!
Hershey Lodge Amenities and Perks
The Hershey Lodge also have an outdoors pool for you to enjoy during the summer months!
But even more than that, they have a miniature golf course on-site for your family to enjoy!

When you add up all of the perks and free tickets you receive from staying at the Hershey Lodge, it is well worth the cost of a room to make sure your vacation stay is that much more enjoyable!
