The next time you visit Hersheypark, make sure you leave some time to try these top foods! From over the top freak shakes to Reese’s funnel cakes to crabfries, one of the highlights of visiting an amusement park is trying some of the favorite local foods!

Chickie and Petes Crabfries at Hersheypark

As one of the #SweetestMoms for Hershey, I’m partnering with them to bring you all of my families favorite food options for dining at Hersheypark!

Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabfries

The crabfries at Chickie’s & Pete’s are a must for my gang! If you aren’t familiar with Old Bay, this a must to introduce your taste buds to this classic Maryland flavor. The crabfries come with a garlic cheese dipping sauce and are huge portions!

While you’re in line, you can grab a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, chicken cutlets, specialty burgers and more! Chickie’s & Pete’s is located to the left of the Boardwalk so you’ll work up quite the appetite walking back there!

Makin’ Whoopie Pies

Whoopie pies are another local food tradition that are famous in neighboring Lancaster County with the huge Amish population. Hersheypark took it a step further and lets you build your own whoopie pie! There’s a whole display case full of whoopie pie shells and fillings so you can mix and match flavors based on your tastes!

Makin’ Whoopie Pies is located towards the front of the Park at the left end of the Founder’s Way building.

Founder’s Way Funnel Cakes

And if you go to the very opposite end of the Founder’s Way building, you’ll find the funnel cakes stand! These are not your ordinary funnel cakes either! You can get a classic funnel cake with strawberry and cream toppings. Or you can get a chocolate funnel cake base and then choose if you want the Hershey’s funnel cake or the Reese’s Extreme one.

We went with Reese’s Extreme and 3 of us couldn’t finish it! Loaded with chopped peanut butter cups, chocolate and peanut butter drizzle, it is rich but soooo good! You can also get fried Oreos or peanut butter cups there. And pssst, you can also just ask for a plain funnel cake if you don’t want anything too decadent!

Lemon Drop Stand

Once you finish that loaded funnel cake, turn in a circle and you’ll see the Lemon Drop stand right across the walkway towards the Comet roller coaster. Head straight over for one of their lemonades! It’s refreshing, made fresh and exactly what you need after a few peanut butter cups!

They also are the only place in Hersheypark that sells cotton candy or you can grab a snow cone and bag of popcorn. And while the Lemon Drop is their stationary stand, they do have vendors who walk all over the Park selling the same items. Look for the green carts and striped shirts so you can get your lemonade fix!

Simply Chocolate

If you leave Lemon Drop and Founder’s Way Funnel Cakes, and head right towards the bumper cars (to the left of where my son is in the above picture), you’ll bump into Simply Chocolate. If you follow Hersheypark on Facebook on Instagram, then I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of their King Size Shakes!

These shakes are award-winning and can easily be split between 3 or 4 people! They come in all kinds of flavors but the classic Peanut Butter Pie is our family favorite! They also have seasonal ones for Hersheypark in the Dark and Christmas Candylane that are only around for a limited time so you need to be sure to snag it while you can!

Another fun family fact, my sister is the employee who created these King Size Shakes for Hershey! I’ve been the lucky recipient of some of the taste tests, so I can personally vouch for them!

Spring Creek Smokehouse

Now that you’ve filled your stomach with all matters of sweets, it’s the perfect time to head to Spring Creek Smokehouse for some real BBQ. Tucked down below the AquaTheater beside Trailblazer, it’s also a nice quiet place to have a meal with lots of shade and spots by the creek.

Spring Creek Smokehouse is the place my son heads to immediately for his smoke turkey leg! They also have freshly brewed ice tea, macaroni and cheese, smoked chicken and more!

Plus, for Hersheypark in the Dark, you can enjoy beer and cider flights plus live music on Saturdays in the Yuengling 1829 Pavilion!

Chik-fil-A

I have never once walked past the Chik-fil-A in Hersheypark without seeing a line out the door! It hasn’t been here long, but it is hugely popular! Grab your favorite chicken sandwich, waffle fries and thick milkshake. But don’t forget that like every Chik-fil-A restaurant, even the one in Hersheypark is closed on Sundays.

Dispatch Pizzeria

This one is a tough one for me, because I’m not the biggest pizza fan, but my daughter loves it and it’s her go to when we’re at the Boardwalk at Hersheypark! Dispatch Pizzeria is a staple at Hersheypark and I do happen to love their garlic knots so it’s a win-win!

Chocolate Covered Cookie Dough

Brand new in 2018, The Turkey Hill Creamery in the Pioneer Food Court now offers chocolate dipped cheesecake slices and cookie dough kisses. You can dip them in all kinds of shells including chocolate, cherry, peanut butter and blue raspberry. Once it’s dipped, pick your topping: Oreos, sprinkles, peanuts, Pop Rocks and more!

Double Dunker Turkey Hill Ice Cream

As for me?? When I’m at that same Turkey Hill Creamery stand, I will ALWAYS go for a cone of double dunker ice cream! It’s my absolutely favorite which is weird because I’m not a coffee drinker at all! But it’s the most delicious mocha ice cream filled with a fudge crunch swirl, cookie dough pieces and Oreo chunks. SO good! You can also grab a cone at Simply Chocolate.
