This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Arby’s for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m always stuck in a bit of a predicament when we’re traveling over a meal time and the family starts getting hungry.  I’m not usually much of a fast food girl, but I get antsy thinking about going to a sit-down restaurant and wasting all that time when we could be on the road!

This weekend left us in just that situation… twice!!

My sister lives 4 states away and wanted my daughter for the weekend (I know, I was shocked too!!), so we met her halfway on Friday and then again on Sunday!  What did she want her for you ask??  Oh you know, just so they could go take a tour of Patsy Cline’s house and the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley which was having a Patsy Cline exhibit.  What every 9 year old girl wants to do, right?!

We met off an exit that was packed with every kind of fast food joint and restaurant you could imagine. Seriously, it was one of those streets that was filled with signs and was almost overload.  So, I spotted something that looked familiar and comforting and told my husband to pull into the Arby’s parking lot so we could wait for her there!

And that was when this goodness came into my life.

Yes, my daughter was excited about visiting the Patsy Cline Museum and I was giddy over beef brisket that was slow cooked for 13 hours and topped with Gouda cheese and crispy onions.  Crispy onions do me in every time.

Every.Single.Time.

This was seriously delicious and perfect for a girl like me who wants restaurant-quality food without the inconvenience of taking 2 hours for dinner!  So while I talked about the Smokehouse Brisket sandwich all weekend, my daughter got to enjoy her own little slice of Americana with her cousins.

And when the time came to meet them again on Sunday at the end of our weekend, I specifically requested that we meet again at Arby’s!

I couldn’t help it!  I had to treat myself to another Smokehouse Brisket sandwich!  And this time I made my husband get his own!

Can I just tell you how happy I am that this is what excites these girls!?  Not Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus, but drawing outfits for Patsy Cline, visiting her house and museum and hanging out with each other.

It’s the All-American life and I love it!

*The giveaway is now closed!  Thank you to everybody who entered!  The winner is Angie at Country Chic Cottage!
