This Fixer Upper Vacation Rental House in Waco, Texas defines the Joanna and Chip Gaines’ style that we’ve come to love! If you’re planning a Magnolia Markets roadtrip, this is the perfect Airbnb to complete your visit!
Have you started planning a visit to Waco and the Silos yet?
Are you obsessed with all things Fixer Upper and Chip and JoJo?
If you can answer yes to both of those questions then I want you to do me one little, easy favor… stay in The Morrow House for your road trip!
The Morrow House was on Season 5 of Fixer Upper and Joanna Gaines herself called it #TheRealFixerUpper! It wasn’t the house that the guest couple chose, but they did decide to purchase and restore it themselves!
And they stayed true to the modern farmhouse style while they restore this 130 year old home right in the heart of downtown Waco!
I was so fortunate to be able to stay there earlier this year for a little girlfriends’ getaway. We were literally oohhing and aahhing and had our cameras out before we even made it in the front door!
Aside from how gorgeous the house is, this is my ideal Airbnb situation.
There is a smartlock on the front door, so you can just let yourself in whenever you arrive. This is such a relief to me after staying at other Airbnb’s where someone is running late or reservations have to be switched to meet the host at a certain time.
At The Morrow House, we just knew when we could check in, we did so completely on our own, and we arrived to a sparkling clean home!
A home that I wanted to move into!
A home that when I returned to Pennsylvania and friends and family asked me how Waco was… I nearly forgot all about the Magnolia Market and instead told them all about this house!
Hello, shiplap!
Not fake shiplap like I put in my kids’ bathroom.
Real, honest to goodness shiplap that I don’t even know if we have up here in PA.
We quite literally scurried from room to room yelling for each other to come look at the next thing we found.
Because there were so many discoveries! The house is decorated so stunningly down to every last detail.
Guests to The Morrow House are encouraged to leave a note for the host on the stationary on the desk. Then place your note in the mailbox on the wall for her to read!
It will make its way to the adjacent guest wall which is such a statement piece on its own!
It quite literally feels like they thought of everything.
Half the time, I didn’t know if I was taking pictures to share with all of you or if I was taking them to use as inspiration for my own house!
It was the perfect gathering spot for our group of girlfriends as we visited Waco. After spending the day visiting the Silos and taking the Waco Tour around town, coming back to The Morrow House felt like just as important a part of our vacation.
It wasn’t just a resting place at the end of the night the way a hotel would be. It was a real, tangible part of the Fixer Upper experience.
I adored the kitchen with it’s mix of rustic wood floors, gold hardware, subway tiles and milk glass light fixtures.
I don’t usually have an eye for mixing so many different finishes, so it’s stunning to me when someone else not only pulls it off… but pulls it off so fantastically!
Of course, one of the nicest perks of staying in an Airbnb is being able to retreat to separate bedrooms at the end of the night.
The Morrow House took this a step further and each bedroom had their own private, full bathroom as well!
The master bedroom had a king size bed and the prettiest chippy, green door that I wanted to pack up and take home with me.
Off the master bedroom, is a full-size laundry room/supply closet. You will not run out of supplies here!
But the master bath…
Guys.
I think I would give up my daughter’s bedroom if I could somehow have a bathroom like this.
But even more amazing was that the other 2 bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms were equally as impressive!
Right off the front door, was a 2nd bedroom. This room had 2 double beds and another full-size bathroom.
And the most darling decorations!
I really just want to hire the owner to come to my house and completely redo it. No big deal, right??
But if you travel back through the kitchen (really I just wanted to show you another picture of this gorgeous kitchen)…
There was a 3rd bedroom, which is the one I stayed in. This bedroom also has a king sized bed.
And while I’m here, let me tell you that these beds were amazing. I am a terrible, horrible, no-good sleeper and I LOVED these beds! Super comfortable!
And the bathroom has me fully convinced that when we redo our own bath, we will be going with dark grout and dark shower door grids.
I mean, c’mon…
But the real star of our stay was just how comfortable we were. Even with as gorgeous as this house was, it never felt stuffy.
And we were able to relax and hang out until late into the night.
It truly felt like a home away from home and was such a huge part of making my first Waco visit so memorable!
Of course, the pastries waiting for us on the kitchen counter certainly helped with that too!
If you’re planning a road trip to Waco to see all things Fixer Upper, I am begging you to make your lodging fit with the theme of your vacation!
You will be so thrilled with The Morrow House and how much it ends up defining your vacation! Take it from all the guests who have left their notes on the wall or their reviews on the Airbnb site.
It is like walking into a dream!
